I have been an artist for a long time, I am the mother of 2 and the wife of a wonderful man. I work as a freelance artist and as an art instructor. I do occasional commissions and murals. I enter art exhibitions around the country. My life is full of JOY!

Hello everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I let all of you know that the wonderful woman behind this account has passed away. On May 6, 2022, Kate lost her battle to cancer surrounded by family. For those that knew her personally, it was no surprise that she took the diagnosis with a sense of humor and adventure - even going so far as to call chemotherapy "an adventure." She was a ray of sunshine for us all, even in the face of less than ideal odds. Her absence is felt deeply by all those she touched. Kate will be remembered fondly not only for her eternally positive attitude, but also for her numerous contributions to the art world. Many of you are familiar with her body of work displayed here. As well as being a very skilled artist, she was a skilled instructor. There are many artists in the world that can attribute their start or their continued artistic journey to a workshop Kate taught.
