| This is 'somewhat' of a self portrait. I do not look like this, but this painting captures the essence of me. I felt as if I was truly expressing myself as I drew it. I have been an artist for a long time, I am the mother of 2 teens and the wife of a wonderful man. I work as a freelance artist, the artistic director for a concrete company (I get to play with clay!), and as an art instructor. I do occasional commissions and murals. I enter art exhibitions around the country. My life is full of JOY! I also love to take old things and make them new - this drawing was done over an old painting and I made it new with the drawing. I love the colors and the energy and this piece has pointed me in a new direction for my work. |
